VS Code editor with YASM highlighting and the status bar showing YASM ok
YASM highlighting, and the status bar reporting “YASM ok”.
Why

Writing YASM felt bare and harder than it needed to be.

There was no YASM extension that fit how I worked, so I extended Roncho’s TASM extension. The scope grew until it was almost a new extension.

Who did what

Me
Decided which language features should exist, added the standalone language server, and maintain it.
AI
Implemented much of it, under my direction.
Upstream
Built on Roncho’s TASM extension — the foundation of the codebase.
Outcome

Complete. Used by me and friends; fixed when something breaks.
