Z80 Workspace

Built in 9 days · complete · web + Electron

A browser IDE for Z80 assembly that runs the course’s real assembler and board simulator through DOSBox compiled to WebAssembly.

The course’s assembler and board simulator are separate old DOS programs. The setup took a lot before it worked, and I had to remember commands I didn’t need, so I built one place to write, assemble and run.

    Assembles with no errors C16.EXE (Cross-16) in DOSBox, compiled to WebAssembly Console: c16 lab1.asm -H lab1.h -L lab1.lst … End of Assembly -- No Errors

    Loads into the simulator Z80sim, the course’s ET-Board simulator Z80sim: Filename lab1.h, Message: File load success at 2000h
  3. 03
    Runs to HALT The built-in sample lab1.asm, run from 8000h Z80sim: address 8000, Message: Program halted.
